    Every teacher should read this
I bought this for my practicum teacher, and I want to buy a copy for every new teacher that comes through my classroom. I think every practicing teacher can also take something from this! An excellent addition to a teachers toolkit.

It’s evident from the first chapter how passionate Tina is about helping beginning teachers. She truly cares and wants teachers to flourish in their career. We know that teaching is hard and what I love about the book is that it’s geared toward beginning teachers in their first few years, not just the first year. Each chapter gives practical advice on how to take care of yourself so that you can take care of your students. Some of my favorite parts are Tina’s excerpts from Tina’s own diary as a first year teacher. Her openness and transparency shows us all that we’re not alone. The interactive pages in this book make reflection a top priority for the reader so that you can make adjustments throughout the year and thrive instead of just survive. I highly recommend this book for any teacher! Coaches and mentors should read this book along side their new teachers too! Thank you Tine for this invaluable resource!!

Must Have For New Teachers and Anyone Supporting New Teachers
This field guide provides the reader with the essential things to think about throughout the first year of teaching. From specific classroom strategies to self-care practices this book will support the whole teacher. It’s also a great reminder for teachers that have been teaching for a while, and a great resource for mentor teachers.

This is an incredible tool for beginning teachers! An extremely well written book! The author does a great job of including humor so this doesn’t seem like just another book for new teachers to study. It feels much more like an interactive notebook, engaging the reader and letting them know they are not alone in their frustrations and fears. This is a great way to help support 1st year teachers!

Resourceful! Buying for all Graduating Student Teachers!
I bought this book for myself though I am a veteran teacher. I heard that it has a lot of great ideas for all teachers. I found so many things that I could use right away in my class. But I have bought it for the new teachers in my building and graduating students teachers. They have loved it!!

    Quality
The content of the book is great! But the pages fell of as soon as I opened the book. The same happened to the other books study participants in the first use.
