This keyfob works great. We did have to take it to the dealership to be programmed. That service is not free so factor that into your purchase. Given that it was still cheaper than buying a brand name replacement fob.

Programmable using FORScan
This replacement honestly felt more sturdy than the OEM key fab. I was able to program it without issue with FORscan at home. The gear and spring are different than the OEM, so if you’re trying to reuse your key because the fab part broke (as was the case with me) you’ll need a roll pin punch to swap the keys out. Really not a big deal. Great value at $25, and I’ll be buying again if I ever need another key.

DO NOT BUY!! I have never written an Amazon review till now, but this thing is fob is total JUNK! And I can absolutely say that. Because I install vehicle technology, such as security systems. I just wanted a factory remote for my truck. I’ve had it 3 months.• It programmed fine (the only thing it has going for it)• Ink is coming off the buttons.• Rear battery cover does not snap on solid. It’ll sometimes come off in your pocket.• Push button to release your key is weak and the key will often flip open in your pocket. Stabbing you when you sit down.• **And the absolute worst is the buttons are so sensitive I’m CONSTANTLY setting off the panic, unlocking it, locking it, it doesn’t matter. So bad toss your keys across onto your seat and it will activate one of your button options.It’s like getting so many spam calls, you want to throw your phone across the parking lot. That’s exactly what you will want to do with this Fob! And you can FEEL my aggravation in the video I posted (my apologies, it got the best of me. That also shows you how aggravating this fob is)Hindsight 20/20, done buying the cheap Chinese crap. $29…. should have spent $89. Downside was tried to make the best of it and it just got worse and worse. Should have returned it the first time it set off the panic in my pocket. Thought it was an anomaly and hit my key or something.Hope this was helpful!BTW- Amazon is forcing me to give it a rating. Good FOB, but FOB buttons too easily activated – I found a solution
Once I got the key on this FOB cut ($20 at my locksmith) and I programmed the FOB myself using two other working FOBS for my F250, this FOB worked well BUT the buttons on the FOB took very little pressure to activate, to the point that my truck doors would lock or unlock while the FOB was in my pocket.I found a FOB cover with a clear plastic cover for the buttons which seems to make it harder for them to be accidentally activated.
