Sample Tip: Closet Space

If you are tight on space, the key is to use every single bit of space possible. Many times smaller closets just have the one hanging bar, or the “one-bar wonder,” as I call it. With that, there is a lot of empty space underneath the hanging clothes that isn’t being used. A solution for this is to add another lower bar for items that don’t hang long, like pants. If you have a lot of items that hang longer, like dresses, then this may not work. If that is the case, add drawers in the space available under the hanging area. You can also add shoe storage if you have a lot of room. The goal with small closets is to not leave any idle space; use every square inch, and remember to go vertical if needed.

    Just what we needed
Do you want to get organized but dont know where to start? Look no further. This book is it! It covers everything. The author’s approach makes this task doable and entertaining even. And the best part is that it is divided into sections of which you can skip if it doesnt apply to your living situation. It is also the perfect size to put in a bag. This book is just what we needed. Perfect for housewarming gift.

I like it and passed it on to a friend

Good starting point for non-full-time workers
This book was written in a clear, conversational way. Provides a timeframe for taking on home decluttering. A valuable guide for those who “don’t know where (or how) to start.”

    A great read
I think I have read almost every organizing book known to man. I’ve read many of the same tips over and over. This book had some little gold nuggets that I hadn’t heard before. It was well-written, as well.

  5. Caliopia

If you can meet the suggested times in this book, you don’t really need it.
The author suggests that you should spend an hour, yup, an hour, emptying, sorting, decluttering, and organizing your bedroom closet. If I could do that I wouldn’t have clutter, I’d just be tidying and organizing. The author talks about organizing books and clothes by color, I’m sure it would look beautiful but is it realistic for someone dealing with 30 plus years of clutter? The best tip she has is not to buy organization supplies until you are done.

  6. Charlie Stone

    Great book for getting organized!
Kim writes in a very straightforward but interesting way. It is easy to see that she knows her stuff and is passionate about her work and helping others find peace of mind by decluttering their homes. I look forward to following her advice in my own space.

  7. Sheshe
