Perfect fit
I ordered the motor and gearbox set. Only used the motor. Fit perfect and works great. And now I have a spare gearbox. Price was great. Install took 20 minutes. We’ll see if it holds up.

Controller worked, but my steps presented another problem.
The unit took care of my problem. Steps now work properly. In my situation, the steps were in the UP position, therefore I could not disconnect the power supply wire from the damaged controller to the electric step motor because there was literally no access. So I removed what wiring I could from the damaged controller while in place. Then I installed what I could from the new controller while it is HANGING. The last 2 things I had to do was cut the wires from the damaged controller to the electric step motor as close to the damaged controller as I could. The wires are colored so I stripped the end and inserted the matching bared wire into the new controller socket (that is intended to fit into the electric motor). Lastly, I cut the ground wire (connected to the chassis) close to the damaged controller and wrapped it around the new controller’s ground wire. Powered up and the steps came DOWN, giving me all the room I needed to properly remove the damaged controller and install the new controller as needed. I removed the colored wire I stripped and properly plugged in the power supply wire to the electric motor. In my case, I properly spliced the ground wire because of bad access to the grounding bolt on my chassis. I zipped tied small wires that were hanging so it would not be damaged by the function of the step. Hope this helps.

Should have purchased this earlier
I had some intermittent issues with my stairs, diagnosed and determined the motor was flakey. Replaced with this one and the steps function and a lot quieter than before. Great motor. Replacement took less than 20 minutes.
