For butchering up feral pigs, this is a very nice set. First the small skinning knife is the right size. The pointy knife is good for dissecting around the genitals. The cleaver is good for chopping through the joints so as to discard the hooves and lower legs. The big knife is good for slicing through slabs of hind quarters to prepare for sausage making. Didn’t use the saw, but I understand the blade is weak. Maybe not the highest quality, but they can be sharpened and its a great price.

Knives are great, saw is not
I bought this set to help with portioning large cuts of meat. I am going to briefly rank and describe how each cutting instrument is.1. Butcher Knife – This is the best knife. I use it for portioning. Cuts great, stays sharp and very sturdy.2. Boning Knife – Also very sturdy, don’t use as much as Butcher Knife. Cut just as great and stays sharp.3. Cleaver – Not very heavy duty probably can only handle chicken sized bones and cartilage. Great for mincing meat.4. Steel – Great 8” steel. Helps keep all my knives honed up.5. Scissors – Haven’t used but probably only used for light duty.6. Skinning Knife – Haven’t used and not useful for what I use the set for. Hunters may think it is great. Seems solidly build.7. Bone Saw – Pretty much a cheap hacksaw. Had to hot glue blade to saw to use. TPI to high to cut bone effectively. All knives are full tang.

Hunter’s companion
As an outdoorsman and hunter, I’ve accumulated more knives than I care to admit. Due to that, I’m always digging through my collection when it comes time to process game. I’d had enough of that, and decided I was going to get a self-contained kit. I’m glad I found this one! Has everything I need in one handy place. Perfect to take along and leave at camp (wherever that might be) or in the truck.

Great product
The saw came apart during use- but otherwise everything else in this kit is fantastic.

Cheap, saw broke, cheaply made.
The price is cheap for a reason. Like other reviews, the saw blade broke during the first use. The knives are just ok but I don’t see them holding an edge for any length of time (get a knife sharpener). Its a cheap set. Go spend a bit more and get better quality- especially the saw. You NEED a good saw.

Quality
Everything in this kit seems very well built. Except the hand saw. It is all plastic. Why cheep out on something like this? Going to try it but I’m already looking for a better built saw.

My hunter likes it
I bought this as a gift for my man-child son. He loves to hunt and wants to dress his own deer and boar. It’s sturdy and stores well in the case.
Bubba –
I bought this for my son and he used it right away to do his home butchering

Looks a bit cheap but very impressed with how sharp they are and how well they cut.

Very decent set of knives and saw. Will keep it in my hunting truck!

Cleaver broke while cutting chicken after using it twice. Looked like a nice kit at first but very cheaply made obviously and very dangerous, could have cut myself when it broke.
