Wow, this was such a great surprise!
It was a total impulse buy, but I’m so glad I went for it! Arrived the next day, well packed to stay cold.. I thawed one for dinner and cooked it in a hot skillet with olive oil, using my seasoning. 5 min on one side, 3 on the other and got a perfect crust. Let it rest for a minute, then we split it after a quick discussion on who got which half. It was just perfect. Tender, buttery and full of flavor, just like a high quality NY Strip. We had it with roasted vegetables and a big pot of herbed, buttered mashed potatoes. Honestly, I shouldn’t have second-guessed this purchase. Everything about it was excellent, and I’ll definitely be ordering more!

Best steaks ever
I ordered 8 strip steaks. The meat was more tender than filet mignon, very fresh, lightning fast shipping and at a decent price. One or two minor gripes tho – they came packaged 4 steaks to a package partially frozen while I prefer individually wrapped steaks. Also, one package of 4 steaks appeared to be a tangled mess of cut meat rather than “steak” steaks. It’s still delicious but if I saw the presentation in local butcher shop I would have passed it by.

i purchased a pack of 8 new york strip steaks (10 oz. each) n can tell quality and flavor on the next lvl! the meat was veeeery tender and juicy with perfect marbling that delivered a rich steakhouse-worthy taste 🤤

No marbling no flavor
I received the New York strips package of eight. I was disappointed in the quality of the meat. There was almost no marbling, and consequently almost no flavor. The steaks did not look at all like the pictures on the Amazon webpage. Those steaks are shown as having considerable marbling . These steaks are not prime beef. They are prime Angus beef, which basically means they are ungraded. Will not be ordering from Grumpy again.Even though this item was not returnable, customer service gave me a complete refund.

Not your average cut
Bought these Grumpy Butcher strip steaks for a weekend dinner and seared them in a cast iron skillet—3 minutes per side, then rested for a few. The marbling was spot on, and they stayed tender even cooked to medium, which my wife prefers. Our neighbor popped by for a drink and ended up finishing a steak too—he couldn’t stop raving. Only nitpick: I wish the thickness was a bit more consistent across the pack to allow for universall doness, but flavor and quality were definitely there.

Not sure if the meat should have arrived frozen.
This is the first time I have order meat to be delivered. I expected the meat to be frozen upon arrival, but it wasn’t. It was packaged well and did have ice packs. Not sure if it had just thawed from shipping. I haven’t cooked the meat, but for 17$ a strip, it better be dang good! It’s fairly pricey in my opinion, but I am hoping for good quality and tenderness. I doubt at this point, unless the meat is absolutely delicious, I would order meat to be delivered again. I’ll just go to the supermarket and save some money. The meat being thawed upon arrival, just make me nervous. I’m not blaming the seller necessarily and maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be, or it could have been Amazon letting the package sit too long.
