What is Time Boxing or Time Blocking? Time Boxing is a time management strategy, in which tasks are allocated a fixed time period within your schedule. Why Should I Timebox? Don’t let it’s simplicity fool you. Time Boxing is one of the most effective ways to plan your day. 1. Eliminate Distractions… Time Boxing promotes a single-tasking mindset where one’s full attention to is devoted to a task for specified duration of time. This discourages unproductive multitasking and jumping, where people jump back and forth between projects and end up getting little done. 2. …And Feel in Control. By Time Boxing you will feel more in control. This is especially important because control may be the biggest driver of happiness at work. Constant interruptions make us less happy and less productive. Timeboxing is the proper antidote to this. You decide what to do and when to do it, block out all distractions for that timeboxed period and get it done. Repeat. Consistent control and demonstrable accomplishment is hugely satisfying, even addictive. This is not just above productivity, this is about intent and how we feel. 3. Reduce Work Related Stress. Time Boxing encourages allocating deliberate time away from the desk, reducing the chance of employee burnout. This can help people feel more rejuvenated and more productive when they are working. 4. Curb Perfectionist Tendencies. Time Boxing is known to be a life hack to help curb perfectionist tendencies (by setting a firm time and not overcommitting to a task) which can also enhance creativity and focus (by creating a sense of urgency or increased pressure). 5. Be substantially more productive. Parkinson’s Law flippantly states that work expands so as to fill the time available for it’s completion. Creating a sense of urgency to get each task done in a predetermined amount of time helps people accomplish more in the same time period.
A de-cluttered mind allows brilliance to flow – Use The Time Box to free up mental bandwidth so that you can focus on your tasks – professionally.
Don’t Stress! Productivity and clarity go hand-in-hand – The Time Box should be treated like a blank canvas. Don’t let the boxes intimidate you. You decide what goes in them, and how long your tasks should last for. If one one day does not go as planned, don’t stress. Being more productive and gaining clarity is a process that will improve each time you use The Time Box.
The Time Box methodology is no secret – From Bill Gates and Elon Musk to Benjamin Franklin, Time Boxing is known to help immensely with productivity. Harvard Business Review conducted a study of the top 100 productivity hacks and Time Boxing was number 1.
3 Step Guide to Time Boxing: 1. Brain Dump. De-clutter your mind. Write down all the tasks you wish to complete for the day. 2. Prioritise. Choose the top 3 tasks that MUST be done today. 3. Time Box. Allocate a time for your tasks. The boxes are in increments of 30 minutes.

A great planning and organization tool
I have been using the Time Box for over a year now, and highly recommend it for anyone who has trouble getting organized and focusing on top priorities. The notebook is durable, easy to use, and makes organizing and planning a breeze. Keep track of your “brain dumps” for future reference instead of tossing them out on scrap paper. The grid paper also makes it easy to jot down quick drawings and sketches of ideas. I like the blue color as well, but additional colors would be nice to have.

Game changer!
An incredible tool for learning how to manage and visualize time and prioritize tasks. Love the brain dump area and extra note pad space on the back page. The visual simplicity of this format, with no over complications, is what makes this work for an already busy brain.

Great way to stay organized!
As someone who gets overwhelmed knowing there’s a busy day ahead of me, this book was perfect for time blocking my day. Mapping out designated times for each task I found to be very helpful. The book itself is sturdy and nothing flashy. Would recommend for someone who needs help mapping out a busy day to ensure they tackle all their tasks.

Helped me stay on task
The time box has really helped me stay on task at work and outline exactly what I did through the day when the boss asks “why isn’t that done yet, what have you been doing all day”. —Finally I got that micromanaging person to realize different task/problems take different amount of time to resolve. It’s really been a life saver for my work mental health.

ADHD Approved
I have ADHD and I have so many planners and none of them quite right for me. I’ve tried so many styles and this is the closest I’ve come to ADHD usability. I’m not wasting 2/3 of the planner because its not dated. I can use it when I want. I can go days without using it and not waste any paper. I didn’t have any issues with the cover. It’s flexible and feels like a fake leather coating was put over the normal cardboard spiral notebook cover. Its textured and nice to touch. I’ve used it for a week now and it has held up great after going through my backpack and my work tool bag everyday. What I like:*It’s undated.*The half hour time boxes have a 19 hour time range that go from 5:00-11:30. Many planners only go from 8am-6pm then have a small space for evening. It doesn’t say AM or PM so it works for night shift people as well.* The brain dump section is dotted. I can write horizontally or vertically. Or diagonal. Or all three. Whichever direction my brain is going at the time I need to write a thought down.*The large dotted section on the back side of the page. This is a major brain dump area that is great for my “doom piles” of thought. Random lists, things to look up, to buy, or any random thing that crosses my mind. What could be improved:*Its really only 70 days. There are 70 sheets of paper with 140 writable pages. I think $18.99 is a bit too steep for just 70 days. I use it a few times a week so it will probably last me closer to 4-5 months than 70 days though.I will probably order another one when I get close to finishing this one. Price is my only issue. I’ve only used it or a week but so far, so good!

Exactly what I needed
I love everything about this! I use it for my weekend routine more than anything. I stress easily about what needs to be done and this helps me just dump everything on mind and worry about it later.

Great Time Tracker
Helps a lot with my business and logging time for my side hustle. Just wish it were a little less expensive as it truly isn’t anything super fancy.
