This book will remain in my library and be reread and reread.
The Pivot Year by Brianna Wiest – 5 starsThis book was my first exposure to the writings of Brianna Wiest and I loved it! It offers 365 short writings/meditations aimed at helping you gain a different perspective about yourself, the world, and your place in it. I enjoyed the author’s flowing writing style, and her way of putting thoughts and ideas into phrases that seemed to drill into my core. I highlighted and booked marked so many pages that I had to chuckle at myself! The short writings can be read in any order, one or several at a time. No matter what I selected to read, I always found something that spoke to me. This is a book written so that when reread at a different time, different things will resonate. Highly recommend it!

    very inspirational
Loved the short format readings. Somehow each page has a new and different message that always seems to resonate with me. I am going to read this book over and over again. It’s been really helpful.

Part of My Essential Morning Routine
Considering I am truly in my own “pivot year,” I had to have this book. It has become an essential part of my morning routine. I sit in silence with my hot matcha, do some journaling, and then read the daily passage in this book. The reminders are thought-provoking and often strangely in line with what I just journaled about before even reading. I highly recommend this book for anyone going through life changes. It’s motivating without being pushy and overwhelming.

    The Pivot year
I bought *The Pivot Year* last year, and it has quickly become one of the most valuable books in my collection. I find myself going back to it again and again for inspiration and guidance. I use it while journaling. When I’m facing a big life decision or just looking for a fresh perspective, this book offers insightful advice that helps me refocus and rethink my approach. What I love most about *The Pivot Year* is its practical, and is great was a reflection guide. The book’s tone is encouraging yet realistic, which I really appreciate. It feels like the author is speaking directly to you, offering support during times of change. I refer to it often, especially when I need a reminder to stay flexible and open to new opportunities. If you’re at a crossroads or simply looking for ways to embrace change and growth, I highly recommend *The Pivot Year*. It’s an invaluable resource!!!!!

Gives Me More of An Open Mind
I put off buying this book for quite some time. I wasn’t quite sure the point of the whole thing. Then I decided “why not”. Before buying it, I read the reviews and just like with any author I’ve never read before, I looked her up. I realized that when I read a page each day, that I needed to stop and just sit with what I’ve read for a minute. Then it would get me to thinking a little, open my mind to different perspectives. That being said, I’ve noticed people on here giving it bad reviews, saying they expected more, they were looking for some life changing information or whatever. The author is not an authority on really anything. She has a degree in English. She’s young so, she’s limited in actual life experience. This book was not written to save your life. It’s here purely for contemplation and maybe broader thinking. Research your authors. It’ll save you some disappointment later.

    Easy Read
This is a great book. It doesn’t take a lot of time to get your reading in for the day. The content, although minimal each day, includes a lot of beneficial information. I also ordered a workbook to go along with the book which helps you apply the information to your life.

    Short daily inspirational readings
I came across a recommendation about this book and ordered it. I love that it focuses on short daily readings to inspire you. You can of course read more than one per day but it’s a nice morning pick me up instead of reaching for the phone.
