I love my weighted blanket. It helps with sleep so much. Especially if you deal with aching joints or anxiety. Very warm and cozy to sleep under. I put my under my bedspread. The quality is great. After several washes it still is like new.

Wow wow wow. I got this delivered 2 days ago. Literally the best 2 nights of sleep I’ve had in years. I haven’t slept this good since I was a teenager (34 now) I usually don’t leave reviews but sweet baby jesus on a swaddling stick, I feel rested. (Not sure what a swaddling stick is but it sounds nice)I was worried about it not being a king sized blanket and just saying it was. It really is. I was also worried about it making me too hot when I sleep (6’3″ 280lbs) since I run hot when I sleep anyways. This was not the case at all. I actually slept cooler than with my previous comforter that was clearly inferior. I used the silky side down. It’s says it’s cooling and they weren’t lying.I will say it is pretty heavy. 40lbs doesn’t sound like much but it is. I recomend do not take it out of the carrying case before you get it to your bedroom. That was a production. Haha. Even for me and I’m pretty strong. Mostly because it’s heavy and super soft and silky like so it slips over itself. I definitely recommend the 40lbs though.These last 2 mornings I have felt so rested even my husband noticed I’m much more cheerful these past few morning and that’s before coffee. I love no one before coffee and am mildly not friendly usually. It’s crazy what a good night sleep will do.It seems a little expensive but it’s definitely worth the price. You can’t really put a price on good quality sleep.Do yourself a favor and get a weighted blanket. Hell, it doesn’t even have to be this one (although there is no problems with this one. It’s very true to description and I’m loving it)

Way too heavy to be practical
I would rate this weighted blanket as 5 stars if it were not for the extreme weight of this blanket. If it were not for the effort it would take to repack it and return it, I would have exchange it for a lesser weight blanket with ceramic beads.Pros: I like the fact that the inside material has a smooth silky feel, which makes it a cooler experience. My last one had a Sherpa style material on the inside of the blanket which made it too hot for me. I like that the individual panels are smaller which keeps the beads in place.Cons: This 40# weight is near ridiculously too heavy. You do not want this weight for kids or older adults. I’m 60 and it is a struggle to get under this blanket or out from under it because of the weight. I believe these beads are glass, not ceramic. Ceramic beads weigh a lot less than glass. I would buy a weighted blanket with ceramic beads in the future instead of ones with glass beads.

I love it! I get really hot at night so the cooling side is perfect.When i am sick however, i get super cold so the warm duvet side is great.Once i’m under, it dosent even feel very heavy but when trying to lift it to move it around there is no mistaking it’a heavy!!My only concern is that im not sure how i’ll wash it since there isnt a removable cover, but i’ll figure that out.Definetly recommend it! Cheaper than other brands like Lush (wr have 1 of those too) but just as good quality! So you can’t go wrong with this!

Forty pounds is a lot. There is no way I can machine wash this because when soaked with water it will weight a hundred pounds. It seems and warm. They DO NOT misadvertise – I just didn’t contemplate how heavy a 40 pound blanket would be. I should have, because the seller says 40 pounds. I would buy 15-20 pounds next time.

First off, this blanket is hella heavy – like two people have to carry it kind of heavy. I am definitely a much less restless sleeper now, probably because this blanket literally holds me hostage in bed. According to my husband I have also started snoring (hey, this is new!) so I must be sleeping better. Warning: if you love your pets and your small children do NOT let them crawl under this blanket as they will not be able to get out on their own. Also be careful getting in/out of bed as if you try to whip the blanket on or off, one of two things could happen – you will either dislocate your shoulder or you will develop an arm like Schwarzenegger. In short, we are super happy with the purchase 😊. Also a wee warning – DO NOT try to Dutch Oven your significant other while under this blanket – you will never escape quickly enough (if at all) and could end up being the unwilling recipient of your own biological warfare. Just sayin’….

I thought I had done enough research on a weighted blanket. Research showed that you should order a blanket 10-15% of your own body weight, DO NOT trust that calculation. I borrowed my son’s fifteen pound blanket and found it was pretty comfy so I purchased a 15 pound queen weighted blanket and found it was too light. (Not taking into consideration that 15lb would be disbursed over a queen size). I returned the 15lb and reordered the 30 pound. I live that fact that it truly does hug you. I am a very light sleeper, I toss and turn lot during the night and am constantly kicking blankets off. With this blanket, I have yet to kick it it off. Great purchase.
