    Helps you keep track
    Ive waited till a month before I would give my full review of Lumen and whether or not it helped me. As someone who is going through perimenopause and is starting to see weight gain despite having a very active and fairly healthy lifestyle, I was struggling to see what I needed to change. Testing out Lumen the first week I was struggling to see any fat burning numbers and would continue to experiment with timing my meals, what to eat specifically during the day and night. I started seeing some results and continued playing around my daily lifestyle to see what was the cause of it. I did notice when I was highly stressed it also affected my numbers a lot and tried to focus on lowering my stress/cortisol levels(which can be hard to do). I also experimented the times of when I worked out to play around if that affected anything. I’ve been getting better with my numbers each week stating that I’m in fat burning mode. Trying to also test my carb loading days. What I find fun is experimenting and seeing what the results you’ll get and being consistent. Again, as someone who’s currently in their perimenopause stage it’s good to have Lumen as a progressive track on observing what’s affecting your body from potentially burning fat. It’s a good tool to have instead of just guessing especially when the app has people to help you and a community you can also chat and share your thoughts and struggles.

    Buying products through Amazon is the simplest way to acquire. Lumen even if you do the minimum of taking a wake up breath and one before sleep, you will improve your dietary intake and learn how to change and inprove yoyr metabolism. The more you put into it the more you get out of it. You have mire accessory options if you order directly through Lumen but if you want just the basics and immediate shipping, Amazon is the way to go.

    Inaccurate results & poor customer service
    The results are inaccurate and inconsistent with more reliable RMR testing. I have been trying to cancel my membership but I keep getting stonewalled and prohibited by lumen to cancel.

    I was skeptical, given the price and subscription, but Lumen genuinely works as a personalized guide. It’s not a magic weight-loss bullet—you still have to put in the effort—but the data is incredible.     Great device for health data junkies
    You’ll enjoy using this if you’re someone who’s obsessed with collecting health data like steps, activity, food tracking etc. It integrates with your Apple Health metrics and whatever wearable you use. Also pulls data from your food logging to get real time nutrition updates.You breathe into the device when you wake up, after each meal, and before you sleep. (Sometimes I only do wake time and bed time when I’m busy but you can set notifications as reminders). It tells you what % of carbs and fats you’re burning. You’ll expect to be burning more carbs right after a meal especially if it was higher in carbs but you should ideally see a trend towards more fat burn after you’ve been fasting for some time to indicate metabolic flexibility. After 10 days of collecting breath data it can give you a personalized nutrition plan tailored to your goals.Learning how to breathe into the device is difficult at first but there’s a beginner tutorial and a helpful ring visual on the screen to help you get the right duration and intensity of your inhale/exhale.Also super impressed with the battery life, have not had to charge it for over a week!
