THIS BOOK DOES NOT LEAVE THE KITCHEN COUNTER
The moment I got the book I flipped through the intro pages to get a vibe. I was always confused by macros, but the calculator made it so easy to a) find my ratios and b) know how many grams to eat. (Does that make me sound smart? Seriously – the author makes me feel like a nutrition Goddess).But if macros aren’t your thing, she provides this INSANELY useful check-box list that reads like a grocery list, and helps you sort out what foods to eat freely, with moderation, and to avoid. Just looking at that list helped me get a 40,000 foot view of a ketogenic diet, and it was almost like I was self-directing my learning if that makes any sense?I did Blue Apron for two years over the pandemic, and I thought those recipes were pretty easy to follow. Of course there were some things that we had to think our way through, but in general we were fine. THIS BOOK MAKES IT EVEN EASIER THAN BLUE APRON, HELLO FRESH, OR FRESHLY! All the recipes are super approachable and easy to follow. And because she breaks out your grocery list for each week there’s no guessing, or list making, or trying to decipher “how many avocados do I need for that one thing?” – it’s all done for you.When I say this book has not left the kitchen counter, I’m serious. We just set ourselves on the meal plan and we’re off. I received an advanced copy from the publisher, and I’m so glad I got my grubby little hands on it first! She literally even tells you what to prep on each day. It’s like having a celebrity nutritionist in your kitchen, hyping you up, and keeping you on track.If you’re a review-reading person like I am, I promise you – you can stop reading reviews and you can just buy the book now. You’ll be so happy you did!

Changing how I Eat and Feel!
This book has been a game changer for me. I have been struggling to maintain energy and manage appetite while increasing the amount that I’ve been working out, and in turn have not been able to maintain weight loss. While I’d heard many of the benefits of Keto, the entire approach seemed complex and intimidating. In 27 pages, Emmie simply explains the processes of ketogenesis, using academic research synthesized down to easy-to-apply language. She takes an approach that encourages the reader not to focus on “getting into keto” like I’ve heard so many times in the past, but the broader benefits and how anybody can gain from the basics of eating a mostly keto diet (without anti-carb guilt). The best part though, have been the meal prep plan and fantastic recipes. In week 1, in addition to the 3 easy recipes offered, we made 3 of the snacks as well and have had enough food for the whole week without the lingering hunger that I’ve had with other approaches. I feel incredibly fortunate for the timing of receiving Emmie’s book (advance copy). This might sound hard to believe, but after just starting to transition from 12 years of being vegetarian a couple of months ago, I would not have believed that this would be my introduction back to meat eating – but it feels balanced and healthy. A huge thank you to the author! I’ll be using this book every week for as long as I need to find keto/healthy eating autopilot.

I LOVE THIS BOOK!
This book makes it easy to plan out your meals and they are easy, tasty, and best of all healthy. The recipes are easy to follow in several easy steps and I love having a new take on meals. I tend to make the same things over and over, but now I have healthy and fresh recipes to prep and plan my week. I feel much better and have more energy, which keeps me motivated and losing weight. The food is filling and fueling, so I don’t have bad cravings. It also helps that there are options for sweet, savory, or salty meals and snacks because I never feel like I’m missing anything. I also love that there are salad dressing recipes because they taste better and are fresh and free of preserves. I highly recommend giving this book and plan a try!

Well, not anymore.Not only does this guide give you 70 delicious recipes, but the author has taken the time to lay out every.single.thing you need to know about eating keto, the healthy way. This guide isn’t just going to tell you to survive on bacon and butter…Now, I haven’t tried all of the recipes in this guide, but I can tell you that the ones I have, are delicious. The Veggie Pad Thai has become a weekly staple in my house. Seriously, I eat it at least once a week.If you’re new to Keto, or circling back to the keto diet after some time off, this book is essential!

Finally a Meal Prep Book that Works
Emmie is an incredibly knowledgable Registered Dietitian, with an admirable tenure and a professional background. She makes learning and understanding the nutrition science behind the ketogenic diet super easy. Aside from the easy read, the recipes Emmie has created are HUMAN. It is increasingly difficult to find Meal Prep books that offer both science-backed information AND recipes that work and actually taste great. Emmie offers all aspects of my last sentence.As a food service professional myself, I can’t speak enough about how well planned and organized this book is. I highly it for anyone just starting on their Keto journey, as well as those deep into this lifestyle!
