What’s right is right.
You’ll find this to be the best reference for information regarding the repair and maintenance of your machine. Other than the factory manual I would highly recommend this for the do-it-yourselfer and even professional shop for reference.

A good reference
Lots of general information about the bike. A good reference for torque specifications of all fasteners. Also needed when working on the bike where therebus no internet access.

Very Useful
This is an excellent resource if you’re going to be working on your BMW. In my case, that’s a 2013 F800 GT. This covers just about anything you’d want to work on, and even includes some things to watch out for, such as springs and washers that you’re likely to lose during disassembly if you’re not careful. The photos are generally clear and well labeled, but sometimes I wish they were higher resolution and in color. Obviously, that would substantially increase the size and cost of the book. Overall, this is definitely worth buying and you’ll find yourself using it every time you take a wrench to the bike.

Super helpful instructions
Essential for learning the most about your bike. The photos could be better, but Iove having this reference. Can save you a lot of money.

A must have for DIY!
Sure there is the internet, but it’s a really good idea to have a one stop information resource where a little grease or oil won’t matter. I bought a project bike and this manual was very helpful in the shop. I did tires, all fluids, replaced suspension, chain, sprockets. I used it to help me keep up with tasks and torque settings. Well worth the investment.

Very detailed
Worked well for my 2013 F700gs

Basic information missing
There is no information on how to change oil. This is a basic maintenance procedure and while a little more complex than the old air heads it is well within the abilities of the average rider.

useful, well put together
This shop manual is a must have. The information is of course, useful, well put together, and the pictures are pretty good – although some pictures can be kind of dark depending on the part, since they’re greyscale.

Gets a bit outdated now, it does help you with a lot of work, but the black/white pictures are sometimes hard to understand, most problems covered in this book are general motorbike problems, not specific flaws about these specific design and the troubleshooting section is poorly made. Overall a good book for maintenance, not that good for troubleshooting/problem solving
