Meet author, artist, business woman, and mother, Melissa Horvath

Hey there! I’m Melissa Horvath. I’m a wife, a mom of three little ones, and the founder, owner, and designer behind the home and gift company Sweet Water Decor. I love coffee, yoga pants, home renovation shows, looking at the stars, jamming out to the same song on repeat, and following our Lord. Throughout my life, I’ve depended on God to get me through the good times and the not-so-fun times. A few years ago, God put it on my heart to write a book about purpose and how to equip and empower women. He poured encouragement into my soul to share with the world… so I started to write. As moms, we are busy. Each day, we need encouragement. Often, we can think we’re going about life on our own – encountering struggles, experiencing highs and lows, and having those days when we just want to hide in the pantry and eat all the chocolate. I’ll be the first one to say I’m not perfect and I don’t have it all together. But in the little moments, God gently nudged me with thoughts to share with you—whether it be during a heartfelt song at church, a peaceful walk, or even amidst tears in the shower. My hope in sharing these thoughts is to uplift and inspire you on your motherhood journey. I like to say the messages in this book are from Him, through me, to you. I believe God uniquely designed us to fit exactly what our specific children need in a mama. Now we have the big responsibility of guiding and loving our children, helping them to know that God is in their corner and for them, always.
