Reading The Prayer Tithe was a deeply moving experience that reminded me how important it is to dedicate intentional time to God. The authors, Pastor Dawn Costa and Rev. Teela Ross, always describe prayer as a “tithe” a spiritual offering that represents giving God our time, focus, and heart. This concept always stand out to me because it shifted how I view prayer. Instead of seeing it as a routine or obligation, I began to see it as a personal gift of intimacy and surrender. In this book’s 3 main themes are intimacy, surrender, and revival spoke directly to my current spiritual journey. As I read, I find myself reflecting on areas of my life where I’ve been holding back instead of fully trusting God. I am encouraged to slow down, listen, and let God’s presence renew me from the inside out. Professionally, as a future social worker, I also connected with the idea of surrender. In this field, we often face emotional and spiritual challenges that can feel overwhelming. Learning to surrender through prayer is a reminder that I don’t have to carry everything alone. I bought 4 copies to share with friends. I participated in the 37 days of pray tithing and it was powerful.. i am not the same.. i can’t wait to see what the Lord has lead these two Women of God to capture from that experience. I am continuing my journey of intimacy, surrendering refresh, restoring, and revival. I’ve just begun reading today and thedesign, layout, font size is amazing and invites you partake of its offerings. Catching fire for the Kingdom of God!!!!
The Payer Tithe is an amazing, timely revelation from God, materialized and shared, to catch fire for the Kingdom of God. For if God created a plan of salvation for us through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ; and if He created a plan of provision for us through tithes and offering of His resources; surely He has a plan for us to redeem the time (Ephesians 5:16) through the tithe of time, prayer, and intercession. A manual for intimacy in Prayer
As soon as I started this book it came alive to me. No longer was I just reading a book but it felt like a manual , instructions on how to pray with intention and intimacy with the Lord.I am now a part of the praying call from the after effects of the prayer call they talk about in the book and the residue of God’s glory is prevalent of what happened earlier in the year.I cannot wait to be apart of the next Prayer Tithe Call. I’m finding my prayer rhythm!
I am loving this prayer devotional. The authors said it would help me find my prayer rhythm and it is doing just that. I’m a creature of habit and this tool is helping me stay on track with spending time with Abba. The prayer prompts are helpful and they are guiding me in expanding my prayers beyond my immediate needs. I recommend adding this title to your devotional collection. It’s well worth it.
