A Practical, Gentle Guide to Finally Letting Go
I picked up The Art of Letting Go during a time when my thoughts felt like a constant storm—and this book genuinely helped me slow it all down. It’s not just theory; it gives you clear, doable steps that actually work, even on busy days. I especially liked the short, 27-tool appendix with real techniques I could use anytime. It’s calm, compassionate, and doesn’t feel preachy or overwhelming. If you struggle with overthinking or holding on too tightly, this book is worth it.

Empowering
This book offers clear-cut steps to living a more empowered life by cutting off negative self-talk, toxic relationships, and creating clear boundaries. Of most value are the suggested wordings for how to agree to disagree with someone. I felt more empowered just by reading the suggested responses out loud. Other great suggestions include starting a confidence file and practicing micro-moment mindfulness. An excellent book.

A well-written guide to releasing what no longer serves you
This book is a well-written and accessible guide to releasing what no longer serves you. The author offers suggestions that are easy to understand and implement in daily life, such as following your own voice when making decisions and learning to release anger in healthy ways. For me, the most powerful reminder came from this line in the book: “Letting go doesn’t mean you stop caring. It means you stop carrying what was never meant to be yours.” This sentence beautifully captures the heart of the message; that letting go is an act of self-compassion, not indifference.

Clear, Calm Help
This book is a real help for people who think too much. It gets to the point fast and gives real ways to quiet the mind. I liked how the ideas were easy to use right away. The part that asked, “What would I say to a friend?” really hit home. You don’t need to read for hours to get something useful—each page has something that helps. The book is short, clear, and full of good steps. If your thoughts are loud and never stop, this book can show you how to slow them down. I highly recommend it.

Gave me practical ways to quiet my mind.
This book felt like it was written for the exact season of life I am in. I overthink constantly and carry way too much emotional weight from the past. The Art of Letting Go gave me practical ways to quiet my mind and start releasing things that were never mine to hold. What stood out most is how approachable the tools are. The author doesn’t just talk about letting go, he actually gives you simple practices you can use right away. The 27 tool appendix has been a game changer for me because I can pick one exercise and feel calmer in just a few minutes. It feels doable, not overwhelming.I also appreciated how much the book covers beyond just overthinking. From setting boundaries to forgiving yourself, the lessons touch every area of life. I found myself highlighting whole sections because they felt so relevant. If you have been stuck in your head, weighed down by stress, or drained by old wounds, this book is like a gentle guide that shows you how to finally feel lighter.

Finally learning to breathe again
This reminded me that peace starts from within and doesn’t need to be complicated. It taught me how to stop holding on to worries that only weigh me down and to face each day with a calmer, lighter heart. Letting go finally felt freeing and not scary

This book is very informative and useful. In part one the author explains the science and why our minds work they way they do in terms of negative thinking. As my personality leans more towards science than spirituality, I found that helpful. Easy to read and not overly long or techy. The book explains how people go about creating negative thoughts and why as humans we are wired for this and how to fix it. Some of the scientific experiments. I always look for ideas on how to help my students as most of the time the biggest obstacle in success is a negative attitude and negative thinking.

This book is such a breath of fresh air. I’ve read a lot about mindfulness and stress, but most of it feels overwhelming or too academic. Eric Grant keeps things simple, practical, and actually doable. I loved how quickly some of the tools worked — within a couple of minutes, I felt calmer, not like I had to meditate for hours. The appendix with 27 tools is gold; I keep going back to it whenever I feel myself slipping into old habits of overthinking. If your brain feels like it’s running on overdrive, this book is the reset button you’ve been looking for.

I found The Art of Letting Go very relatable because it covers so many of the things that cause stress—overthinking, negative self-talk, holding on to the past, and not getting closure, especially in relationships. What I liked most is that the tools feel doable and realistic, not overwhelming, and the book is written in a friendly, accessible way. The toolkit summary at the end is especially useful to go back to. It’s one of those books you can actually see yourself using in everyday life and coming back to regularly.

I really appreciated how simple yet powerful this book was. It doesn’t try to impress with complex theories but gets straight to the heart of overthinking and emotional clutter. The techniques are realistic and easy to use in daily life.

Interesting and informative!Eric Grant’s The Art of letting Go emphasizes many factors that influence our insistence on hanging on to negative emotions, including negative self-talk and trying to please others. But through it all, Grant explains that letting go is more than just an action. It is a state of mind, a way of being. He teaches us to identify the inner critic, name him, and eventually dispose of him.Perhaps the author says it best: “We live in a world that glorifies control, performance, and constant striving. We’re told to hustle harder, plan better, think smarter, yet no one teaches us how to let go. As a result we carry far more than we were meant to.”But not to worry. In a clear, well-written, and concise style, Grant give you all the tools to not only let go but find inner peace and happiness in the process. If you feel consumed by negative emotions, toxic relationships, are always trying to please others, or you just want to live a happier life, I’m sure you’ll find a lot of useful information here.
