    Destroyed My Highlighters
I have read 30 books this year, this is by far my favorite. The book covers a tremendous amount of scope and does an excellent job at connecting the dots. If you are like me, then this is probably not your first entrepreneurship book… BUT I wish it had been. I really enjoyed how the book does not rely on venture capital, and how you can scale in zeros. I also really liked that this book is not OVER analytical (with a bunch of “would be awesome if” charts) and the author is not trying to sell an idea of some magical life. In this book you will find real actions, real stories, real advice, real success, and real failures derived from decades of involvement in entrepreneurship. This book has provided me with so much more awareness of what actions I need to take to achieve a successful startup. This book is something special. Thank you for sharing Colin.

    A real gem!
This book is, in my opinion, a real gem for a couple of reasons. Just to mention one, the writing style is neat, organized, clear and easy to understand. The author did an incredible and invaluable job of breaking down terms that would be somehow difficult to interpret for readers not steeped in the business world and explaining them with such simplicity that it is worthy of admiration. He made a book dedicated to a few, and a useful resource for many.Another extremely positive point of this title is that it contains expert opinions and experiences of successful entrepreneurs so we can face the unexpected issues with an already proven formula.

  6. Sanjin

One of the most comprehensive guides for entrepreneurs
This is one of the most comprehensive guides for entrepreneurs that I’ve read in a long time. With contributions from over 30 experts, authors, and seasoned entrepreneurs, this book offers a wealth of wisdom. Also, the emphasis is on actionable strategies for building and scaling a successful business with many practical insights. The book has a combination of expert advice and practical guidance that makes it a must-read for aspiring business owners. I loved it, it is easy to read and full of valuable advice. Really, really good, be sure not to miss it.

  7. Thomas Vennens

Absolutely wonderful book. I have never before written a review for a book purchased on Amazon, despite having ordered and read hundreds of them. I cannot provide a summary of this book as it is too rich for that. All I can say is that I am currently in the pre-launch phase of my first startup and having been reading a lot of books on business fundamentals, this was my seventh business book in about 7 weeks, I must say this book tops all of them. The breadth of it is just wonderful and there is enough depth in it for a beginning entrepreneur like me. And where there is not too much depth, it does provide enough info and tools to further explore those topics oneself (online or via other books, coaches etc.).The book has given me a lot more confidence that my business partner and I have a big chance to succeed in our undertaking and has shown what else is needed before we launch. I felt quite connected to Colin as well, since I also have the serial entrepreneur traits (in my life up to now I didn’t start any businesses, but I applied the same mindset, vision and relentless drive to other ventures).Having read the book, I learned how having a clear and ambitious vision, setting up systems and values, and considering an exit before even starting the business, can be or is absolutely crucial. Also the chapter ‘the Toll of Entrepreneurial Life’ really hit home. Both my father and grandfather were entrepreneurs, who, in their careers, felt this huge toll on their life quality. It feels like my duty to protect my health and joy and the relationships with loved ones to the best of my abilities in the journey I am embarking on, without forgetting that sometimes there will be periods where this will be difficult. To all of you fellow young starting entrepreneurs out there, I think this book could become known as ‘The Bible for Starting Entrepreneurs’. Despite it not being short, I could hardly put it down and finished it in a few days. It was just pure gold. Thank you, Colin!

Colin provides a clear, step-by-step framework that simplifies the complexities of building a business into an inspiring and practical journey. His enthusiasm for entrepreneurship resonates throughout, making the content both engaging and empowering. What sets this book apart is its strong foundation, starting with how to identify and assess business opportunities, emphasizing why some ideas are more promising than others. Drawing on a wealth of experience, Colin shares lessons from his own successes and setbacks, weaving in personal stories that are both relatable and deeply insightful.Brimming with practical advice, this book is a treasure trove for anyone determined to create and sustain a thriving business. Colin’s depth of knowledge and real-world experience make this a must-read for aspiring and seasoned entrepreneurs alike. It’s more than a book: it’s an invaluable mentor for anyone looking to turn their vision into a lasting reality. Thank you Colin!

This is a masterclass in how to succeed as an entrepreneur. It is a game-changer for both aspiring and seasoned entrepreneurs. Colin delivers a comprehensive, step-by-step roadmap to navigate the entrepreneurial journey that is both interesting and easy to read. I love how Colin begins the book by discussing business ideas, and why some businesses could be better investments than others. The information in this book comes from someone who has given much introspection to his own successes and failures in business. The personal anecdotes are both interesting and entertaining. If you want to learn about being a successful entrepreneur, learn from one of the best. It’s a goldmine of practical insights, which can help you ensure your business not only takes off – but thrives. Colin’s real-world experience shines through, making it a must-read for anyone dreaming of starting, growing, and eventually selling a business.
