Description

Do you ever wonder if the Gospel is truly “good news” for your actual, everyday, often difficult, sometimes painful, and typically crazy real life? Well, it is. But sometimes we all need a reminder that God’s faithfulness really does follow us into the face of all that harried, hard, and even humorous stuff of life.
In her new devotional LIFE, Lisa Harper gives you exactly that: a gut-level exploration of pertinent and redemptive moments in Scripture that prove God’s grace is more than sufficient for both the massive and the minuscule things of life.
Whether we deal with personal loss, ongoing trauma, global crisis, or simply a super bad hair day, the Gospel is more than enough to handle everything, so dive into LIFE and find some tangible hope for yours!

The Best 100-Day Devotional I’ve Ever Gone Through (and there have been many)!
The title of Lisa Harper’s devotional book, “LIFE, an Obsessively, Grateful, Undone by Jesus, Genuinely Happy and NOT Faking it Through the Hard Stuff Kind of” should be a dead giveaway as to what type of 100-day devotional book she has written. Full of laughs and at the same time full of wisdom, each day’s devotion is inspirational. And if that’s not enough, she includes questions at the end of each devotion to make the reader stop and think about their life and about the amazing God and His grace who will walks with us every day if we’ll pay attention! I regretted to reach the end of this book and already plan to go through it again.

First devotional I’ve picked up since quitting church – loving it
I’ve been reading through this devotional in the mornings with coffee, and it feels both lighthearted and honest. Lisa Harper has a way of mixing humor with deep truth, so it doesn’t feel heavy or intimidating. The daily sections are short enough to fit into a busy day but still give me something to really think about. The only small thing is the font is on the smaller side, so if you’re reading first thing in the morning, you might want good lighting. Overall, it’s been uplifting and easy to stick with daily.

I’ve always found Lisa Harper such a down to earth and inspirational speaker. She brings the Bible to life with such a sense of fun and genuine faith. She relates it to things that have happened in her life. I love this book. I dip into it whenever I need an uplift. Highly recommend this book. It’s so easy to read and not heavy going at all!

    Great devotional.

Lisa covers a very wide range of topics, it’s certainly not a “don’t worry be happy all the time” kind of devo. Reflection questions encourage me to take it deeper. Lisa is honest about the things that have shaped her journey — the mess ups as well as the victories.

This is a fantastic daily reading book. I am on day 20 now. Lisa is a wonderful speaker and her lively personality comes across in this. Having studied theology her background knowledge pops up. Each day has three challenges which are very helpful to ponder on during the day.The only downside is that it is very American and there are quite a lot of words you would need to look up…. some of them are hilarious… which adds to the daily readings. I am really glad I chose this book.
