Soft jumbo heatless curler for the perfect 90s blowout look
I had purchased the name brand jumbo heatless curler for my best friend for Christmas after influencer Ashley West did a collab with them. I was immediately jealous of the results that my friend got…not only from her bouncy blowout look, but also from the good night sleep she got from her supremely soft curler. I had only ever owned the cheap knock offs that felt like I was sleeping with a board on my head since I was unwilling to invest $$$$ in the pricey name brand curler for myself.That was, until I tried this jumbo heatless curler! I was immediately impressed with how soft it felt. The included alligator clip and scrunchies make this a great deal!I start by parting my dry hair and a zigzag part down the center. I applied a light mist layer of Treseme hairspray to my dry hair. I use the included alligator clip to stabilize the curler on my head as I wrapped my hair in small sections away from my face.After wrapping my hair around the curler, I protected the hair by applying a regular size bonnet. You’ll notice in my photo that the regular size sleep bonnet is a little too small to cover my entire head with the jumbo roller in my hair and I ended up looking a little bit like a mushroom. I will need to invest in a larger size bonnet at some point.Because the curler is so soft, it is much more comfortable to sleep than any other curler that I’ve had in the past. I was able to wake up in the morning with the curler perfectly in place. Upon removing the heatless curler from my hair, I had large, bouncy, damage free curls in my hair. I’ve included a photo of what my hair look like immediately after taking the curler out before I toss my hair or applied any finishing.After removing the curler from my hair, I shook my hair out, but did not brush through the curls. If you wanted an even softer looser look, you could run a comb through your hair to release the curls a little bit more. I chose to apply a light layer of Verb texturizing spray and finished with a light mist of hairspray.My final photo was taken four hours after removing the curler from my hair. While I have a lot of hair, my hair is fine texture, therefore, I can struggle sometimes to hold curl in my hair. Therefore, my hair will not hold the Curl for days like other reviewers have experienced, however, I am happy with the results that I get wearing the curl in my hair for a single day.If you are looking for a jumbo sized heatless curler, this is an excellent option and I would definitely purchase it again.

Not for fine hair
I wanted to love this as it makes lovely loose waves. Or at least it would if it would stay in my hair all night. The satin is too slippery with my fine hair and it all came undone halfway through the night. Didn’t matter how tightly I wrapped the hair or how much product I used. I even tried tying a scarf over it. I wish it came in something like velvet.

Barely any curls
My daughter was excited to try this for larger/looser curls, but it’s too big and floppy to create much wave at all. She is an experienced wrapping wand user and creates amazing curls with a standard size rod, so her poor results are not due to a lack of knowing how to use a rod. She said it was so floppy and no wire inside so she had to wrap it really tightly to get it to stay in, to a point that it was uncomfortable to sleep in – then in the morning, she barely had any curls, and they were gone by mid-morning. She tried it a few times on freshly washed dry hair, on damp hair, and hair that hadn’t been washed in 2 days, but still disappointed with the results.

As someone with really long, thick hair, I was looking for a thicker version of my earlier heatless curling rod. This version provides the perfect curl. It’s super comfortable if you like to sleep in it or I like to do mine in the morning if I have an evening event, make sure to spritz your hair or dampen it with a product prior to doing the role. The additional clips and scrunchies add extra value in end result every time is blowout perfection value I love that. It’s allowing me to honour my desire for perfectly styled hair while protecting it from heat damage.

I was very disappointed with this heat‑less curler set. The concept sounded great — no heat damage, sleep‑in curls — but in practice it didn’t deliver.Here’s what went wrong:The rod/headband kept slipping out of place overnight and I woke up with messy, uneven waves instead of the smooth curls I expected.The material (satin) felt nice initially but didn’t hold my thicker hair well; after a few hours the curls just dropped.The instructions were vague and the “jumbo” size didn’t accommodate all of my longer strands without pulling or twisting awkwardly.For the price, I expected a clear result and better stay‑in place design — this feels like a compromise rather than a real styling tool.In short: If your hair is long, thick, or you move around a lot at night, this set might frustrate you more than it helps. I expected a dependable alternative to hot tools — instead I got mediocre results and wasted effort.
