Easy & comfortable enough to sleep in!
I’ve never had the willingness to wake up extra early to style my hair (I love sleep too much) so to be able to put these in and go to sleep and wake up with beautiful curls / waves is an appreciated time saver.The instructions say to use damp hair, but at first use I learned my hair type doesn’t like that and didn’t curl. However, when I use them with completely dry hair I get the look I want.I’d say if you have a hair type that pretty much molds to how you put it up (like gets wavy when you do a twist bun) use it with dry hair 🙂

Uncomfortable but worth the curls
I like the curls this product gives my hair but the rollers are really uncomfortable to sleep in and they do not stay in on their own. This is gonna start out sounding like I hate the product but just keep reading. There’s a reason I gave it four stars.The first time I used this product I could tell my hair would not stay in the entire night so I took a scarf and wrapped it around my head to hold the rollers in. I sleep on my side and I have two cartilage piercings. To say I got little sleep is an understatement. When I took out the rollers the next morning I thought to myself, “That sleepless night will be worth it when I see these curls.”Yeah…. No. My hair was still wet and had gotten tangled up from all the moving around I had done the night before trying to get comfortable. I was tired, angry, and upset that the product hadn’t worked, and I almost sent it back, but I decided a few days later to give it another try.This time I had decided I would find a way to make sleeping comfortable and I’d get the curl I was looking for. I’m not gonna lie. Sleeping is still uncomfortable sometimes but I know how to adjust the rollers so I can get comfortable. I had figured out the reason why the rollers wouldn’t stay in and my hair was still wet when I woke up, was because I had put too much hair in the rollers. It look a few extra minutes but I managed to separate out my hair enough so the rollers weren’t full of hair (my hair is really long). I still wrapped up my hair with a scarf but a lace headband or even a hairnet would work too. I had managed to move them away from my ears and got a good nights sleep. When I took them out the next morning my hair had beautiful curls and it stayed that way the entire day.I give it four stars because it did what it was meant to do: curl my hair. I have to take away a star, though, because they’re uncomfortable to sleep in until you find a way to adjust them (which shouldn’t be necessary). This is a really great product idea but it could use some improvement in the comfort department. I wouldn’t recommend buying if you don’t think you can find a way to get comfortable or don’t want to hassle yourself with it because that’s the biggest issue with this product. I still use it because I love the curls but it can definitely be a challenge.

Great idea, terrible execution
They don’t really curl hair. I got more of a wavy look. I could achieve this same look doing a braid or scrunching my hair, no heat OR materials necessary. I returned my set of rollers. I wasn’t pleased with the results.

Doesn’t seem to be made for anything other than fine hair
So I tried these rollers out on 2 separate occasions and, in quick summary, I do not believe these would work on anything other than fine hair for a number of reasons. For context, I have shoulder-length, medium thick and medium coarse hair. I also live in a fairly non-humid region. Read on for more details, if intrigued… Some details:1) They’re fairly easy to use without looking in a mirror (I was able to put them on while watching TV).2) They’re not the most uncomfortable thing to sleep in – slightly better than the “plastic donut style” rollers – but still no friend to a good night’s sleep.3) There is no way to get curls like you’d get from large hot rollers bc each piece only holds so much hair (unless you have fine hair) so you will end up with either something akin to just more volume with odd waves here and there or use so many that you end up with really right curls.4) Really tough to incorporate layered hairstyles bc, again, either you curl each layer separately (and end up with tight curls) or the layers typically come loose in some places and not others so the end result is a little crazy.5) Even in my non-humid climate, the volume (or curls) only lasted about 24 hrs. Can’t imagine they would make it through a night somewhere with any humidity. In contrast, when I use the plastic donut curlers, they easily last 2 full days and I still have volume/waves on the 3rd day.Overall, if you have hair like mine, I’d recommend the plastic donut curlers over there, even with the slight increase in uncomfortable sleep.

schade…..die idee ist wirklich sehr gut u würde auch ein tolles ergebnis erzielen, wenn die umsetzung etwas mehr durchdacht wäre.prinzipiell funktioniert es, nur leider rutschen die eingedrehten wickler immer ein ganzes stückchen wieder runter. sie bleiben leider nicht da wo sie sollen.dadurch locken sich die haare nicht wie gewünscht an der ganzen strähne…..würden sie sich nicht wieder abrollen würde ich volle punktzahl geben. denn da, wo die haare eingedreht bleiben, werden supertolle bouncy locken erzeugt! das hätte ich nicht erwartet!ich hab die schnellversion getestet: trockene haare leicht mit hitzeschutz eingesprüht, aufgewickelt, mit föhn mit heisser luft trocken geföhnt u danach mit kalter föhnluft ordentlich abgekühlt. wickler wieder raus u tadaaa! wirklich tolle locken, die selbst nach mehrmaligem durchkämmen halten!das mitgelieferte haarnetz bringt mir leider gar nichts, da die zuerst eingedrehten wickler bereits wieder nach unten wandern, während ich den ganzen kopf bearbeite.wenn dann wieder fast alle wickler auf halb 8 hängen nutzt mir ein haarnetz zum stabilisieren der wickler auch nix……daher insgesamt leider nur 3 sterne……..update 1 tag später:das mit dem abrollen nehme ich zurück!!!! man muss es halt richtig machen…..wie youtube mich gerade gelehrt hat rollt man die haare nicht von der spitze an ein sondern wickelt die strähne direkt OBEN am ansatz (oder wo der clip halt sitzen soll) auf!! also die spitzen zuletzt u clipt sie dann zu! so halten sie bombenfest u sitzen wo sie sollen!zudem habe ich erst heute beim 2. versuch bemerkt dass im täschchen 2 grössen der wickler enthalten sind! die grösseren sind perfekt für mein dickes haar. ich bin wirklich begeistert u vergebe somit absolut verdiente 5 sterne!!!
