Good steaks, grate value
I’m a single mom with three teenage boys who can eat like wolves. One of them received his first job offer he really wanted, so we wanted to celebrate properly. I spent a long time on Amazon looking for good but not crazy expensive steaks and Grumpy Butcher sirloins looked like the best option. They were a decent size, easy to cook and really tasty. Good value for the money and the boys were all happy with my cooking, which doesn’t happen often))

Top contender for our hotel
Howdy. I’m an executive chef at a large hotel resort and was looking for a reasonably priced alternative to our filet mignons, which jumped over 60% this year. A colleague suggested I try Grumpy Butcher top sirloins, so I ordered a six-pack on Amazon as samples. To be completely honest, I didn’t expect much, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality. All six steaks were identical in size and thickness – absolutely critical in a busy kitchen where you can’t keep adjusting cook times. No gristle, no connective tissue, just the right balance of leanness and fat for a sirloin. Not sure if they’re USDA Prime or Choice, but that doesn’t really matter that much for top sirloins anyway. Definetely aged a bit and well handled. My only small gripe is that they come individually packed, since I’d prefer bulk foodservice packaging.

I had bad diarrhea after eating two of Grumpy Butcher sirloin steaks.The meat tasted good , but didn’t want to take a chance. Thew the balance away.

Im quite picky about steaks, and these didnt disappoint. The beef had that fresh, premium taste with excellent marbling. Cooking was also super easy thanks to the cryovac packaging.
