UPDATE 11/6: My doctor discovered that dairy was causing inflammation in my body and weight gain! Once I cut dairy out of my diet, the weight fell right off and I am feeling amazing! I am now 5 pounds away from the weight I was 21 years ago when I was 20!!! Because I am now dairy free, I am no longer using this product because of the whey protein. I still think this is a great product and it did help jumpstart my weight loss, but once I cut out the dairy, I have had no issues whatsoever losing weight and no longer need this protein drink. I do encourage women to talk with their doctor and find out what is actually triggering their weight gain. Inflammation could be a big part of it!Original Review:I am not using those words loosely, this really has changed my life for the better! I developed a health issue a few years ago and it has caused me to gradually gain weight. Even if I exercised and ate perfectly, it was nearly impossible to lose weight. If I did lose weight, I felt like I was starving and the weight would always come right back. It became so frustrating for me, so I gave up.Six weeks ago, I decided to give it another try after seeing this product. I’m not that hungry in the morning, so I thought I could drink this in the AM and then eat regular the rest of the day. Since taking this, I have lost 4 pounds. That may not sound like a lot, but the weight has been gradual and I haven’t been starving. And I haven’t been gaining weight back like I used to! Just exercising like normal and for the first time in years, it feels good to be on the right track.The taste is also great. I’ve tried the caramel mocha and chocolate, so far chocolate is my fav. Also, this product has helped me follow a vegetarian diet much more easier. I have seen improvements all around and this product has now become essential to my daily life.

Far from perfect, but what isn’t, right?
I’d like to address some of the negative reviews first:1. I had difficulty choking this down the first time I took it. I had made it with water. I now use 8 oz of 2% milk and it is creamier and tastes much better than with just water.2. The taste IS barely perceptible as chocolate, but I add a shot of sugar free Hershey’s dark chocolate syrup to it and it makes it measurably better!3. If you just shake it to mix it, it doesn’t dissolve well unless you have the stamina to shake it for 20 minutes. I use an immersion blender, on low, for about 30-45 seconds and it is just as smooth as silk.I use milk because I use this as a meal substitute for breakfast. In addition to 20 grams of protein in the powder, I also get an additional 8 grams of protein, Vitamin D, and more potassium using the milk. Altogether, I get only 240 calories between the milk and powder which is a good start to the morning – roughly the equivalent of 2 eggs and one slice of toast, for comparison.I am not the kind of Karen that expects absolute perfection in everything I buy. I look for the best value for my money, and if it is less than perfect, I look for inexpensive ways to make it better – like the dark chocolate syrup.In the two weeks I have been taking this protein shake, I am down 9 pounds. I do not see this powder as a magic bullet that will make me lose weight through wishful thinking – rather, I use it as a tool to help me do the hard work necessary to lose the weight, and keep it off.If you want to take this shake and think the pounds will melt off, don’t buy it. But if you want to lose weight and are willing to do the WORK you need to do, then this is an excellent product to use IN CONJUNCTION WITH a healthy diet and exercise.4 stars only because it really doesn’t have much chocolate flavor and I supplement that with the syrup.

Ingredients
I usually read labels for the words natural flavoring and gums or carrageenan when I make purchases but for some reason or another, this totally slipped my mind with this purchase. When I finally received the item, is when I actually remembered to read what the ingredients are and if I had known there were natural AND ARTIFICAL flavorings on top of not one but four different gums, I NEVER would have bought this. And be forewarned that this item is not refundable so I just lost out on $40.If these things are important information to you as it is for me, don’t make the same mistake I did and skip this product. However, if none of that is important to you, get it🤷🏾♀️

The warning label says can cause birth defects or reproductive harm, very disappointing I which I read the label in the images. Non refundable so I’ll just have to toss it

I have some great mixture options!
So I love this stuff! I have tried so many powders and this one by far has the best flavor and texture.I drink it with milk, or dairy alternative- that’s not my favorite option. To cut the sweetness I will add actual coffee which makes it taste just like a latte.I do use it in smoothies and find that it blends well with blueberries and peaches along with milk or dairy alternatives (I like coconut milk). I think the flavor in smoothies is more of a hint of caramel rather than coffee. It’s really delicious.It is sweet so drinking it those ways definitely helps! I have also noticed when drinking that it does keep me full and it also had helped with swelling in my fingers, not sure why or how- but if i have bad swelling it goes away after I drink this. I’m sure it help regulate something. Overall I feel great and healthy and have more energy.
