Sometimes We Overthink and We Need to Remember the Basicdd
Amazingly thorough and well worded as far as including a host of different – very basic – ways of refocusing and/or shifting one’s stress. This is a perfect set for everyone beginners and “experts” like myself. Due to a lifelong struggle with mental illness I have been in and out of mental hospitals and medical hospitals for the past three decades. During that time of coarse I have learned a lot of ways of coping and dealing with things that have sometimes worked and sometimes not (completely normal). These are great because sometimes the best answer when your thoughts and struggles are everywhere is to go elementary and be as simple as possible with how you approach the situation. It feels much less daunting and doable. I plan to have these out and in sight so if ever needed, I can grab a card and shift my focus to something different than the mindset I was in. We can all do this. Everyone can master the skills with these cards as they are so well worded and offer many options of things to try, ways to approach the situation. I was a patient at my hospital for 19 days. I left this stack on the nurses/doctors in room computer station with a sign “please take one”.I had everyone (housekeeping, CNA, rn, room service , dr.s, students …) take one that came in my room take one from the top (no looking at the stack)… Some people took 1 or more.Deck was gone at the end of my stay.It was great spreading 1 simple random message randomly to people I don’t even know!Thanks,Rachel

Helpful, fun tool to help ease anxiety.
I use these as a game to go over with my niece that is nine who has anxiety and ADHD. We turned something not so fun into something fun and it was very exciting for her to learn new tricks.

Print/Grammar/Missing Words–Not Double Checked for Errors
I purchased this as a gift for someone so I did not open it and didn’t see any of the cards myself. I was thinking about re-ordering another one as another gift for someone and noticed this:Why weren’t these checked before print? In the product photos, the 2nd picture: #1-“What are we working so hard, if not to spend quality time with our loved ones?” It’s missing a word or incorrect grammar? #2 is double spaced after the word “family. You can be…” It’s embarrassing to purchase this to give us a gift if there’s several errors when it’s meant to be positive and uplift someone.
