Air them out first
These baskets are great, they’re easy to assemble, function as they should as baskets, have a good storage capacity and if you’re a basket person, we all know baskets get expensive so for a 4 pack, this is a pretty good deal. I will say, I had to air these out in the sun for a full day to get rid of a sort of wet smell, it is plant material so it wasn’t overly surprising to me that being sealed in plastic, they needed time to air out – the smell does go away, although I don’t know how great these would be somewhere with high humidity, something to consider.
