No more heavy scented plastics!
I was tired of my baby bottles smelling like detergent. I was using well known Platinum pods, and they did work well with my LG dishwasher. I purchased these based on reviews and our dishes are clean and no longer have a scent!I do notice that my LG filter has to be cleaned a little bit more often, but that’s okay. Afresh or vinegar cycle.

Clean With No Scent or Taste
These things work well and don’t leave any smell or taste. I hate smelling soap on dishes I’m eating off of. These are the answer. I don’t rinse anything before putting in my newer Bosche machine. Everything comes out clean every time. Even the cooked on rice pots. I would normally never leave a review for something like soap, but it was a mission to find the right product. I’ll buy these for life.

Sparkling Clean, But Struggles With Grease
I’ve been using the Seventh Generation Dishwasher Detergent Packs and really appreciate that they’re free from harsh chemicals, dyes, and fragrances. My dishes, glasses, and silverware generally come out sparkling clean, and I feel good knowing I’m using something safer for my family and the environment.However, I did notice that these tabs sometimes struggle with heavy grease or baked-on food. For lighter everyday loads, they work beautifully, but for tougher messes I usually have to pre-rinse or give items an extra scrub.✅ Pros:Eco-friendly and free from harmful chemicals.Leaves most dishes spot-free and shiny.Easy-to-use tabs with no mess or measuring.⚠️ Cons:Doesn’t always cut through grease on tougher pans.Overall, this is a great natural dishwasher detergent for everyday use, but keep in mind you may need some extra help on greasy or heavily soiled cookware.

For about a year I cursed my husband for buying a terrible dishwasher. The dishes came out with stains and spots, and I couldn’t figure out why this historically revered brand spat out filth. He left town for a month, so I took matters into to my own hands and bought these Seventh Generation pods, and WOW! It’s like we had a brand-new dishwasher!Listen. Literally — my dishes NEVER come out with any spots or stains. They are pristine! I never used to be in charge of the dishwasher, but it’s now MY domain. This detergent has changed my life. It’s such a pleasure to load the dishwasher, knowing all my little dishes will soon be spotless, and then to empty it! Looking at my clean, clean plates and glasses and silverware (and those plastic containers that used to be orange because my husband forgot them in his work bag for a whole weekend with spaghetti grease just settling in forever — but now they’re clean!). What a joy!Plus, there’s no scent. My parents use some pods in their dishwasher, and all their dishes smell like … something? I don’t want to eat on plates or drink out of glasses that smell like detergent. It’s one thing if your clothes have a fresh clean smell. Dishes should not smell like anything. That’s just weird.This Seventh Generation is the absolute best, and when you can get it on sale, it’s even better. Plus, I’m just really glad to know my husband didn’t let me down and buy a terrible dishwasher.

If, like me, in the past you’ve been suckered into buying dishwasher pods with names like “Quantum Extreme Ultraclean TURBO” and three or four different coloured sections, I’m here to assure you that’s all marketing nonsense.Not only do the seventh generation pods clean just as well (if not better) than any of those, the fact they’re unscented means that dishes, especially plastic or silicone dishes, come out with no residue or unpleasant chemical smells.I was using the “top-tier” cascade tabs and I found especially silicone spatulas had a strong chemical smell and taste on them that I had to scrub out with soap and water. No such smell after using these pods, and it gets them just as clean. I’ve been using them for over a month, daily, and have had zero cases of food remaining on dishes after a cycle.Note: i use a Bosch dishwasher that I am very diligent about cleaning regularly, use rinse aid, and follow the manufacturers instructions for loading dishes, so if you don’t do these you may have a different experience – as for me, I’ll probably use these pods as long as I have a dishwasher to put them in. My only complaint is I haven’t yet been able to buy them in bulk.

Obviously this is also a division of a “name brand” (i.e., Unilever) but do like the focus on renewable ingredients and away from synthetic fragrances and dyes. Cleans well with very few spots, including dried-on food; even cleaned film off of some glasses that had remained after using other pods. No issues with large amounts of suds at the end of a cleaning cycle as some have described. With products containing other rinse agents, we noticed issues with excessive foaming of beer and soda when poured into glasses. This issue has disappeared since trying out this brand. 4/5 stars because there is still plastic packaging. However, mush less so than the plastic bins used to hold other brands. I assume this might be a moisture-prevention issue.
