Glorious steam for the face.
It is like having a spa at home. I have never had a facial steam before. Little did I know what I was missing. This thing is awesome! It has a lighted water tank. The light can be turned off or left on. On seems to be the default mode when you turn the machine on. There is a timer that can run for 10, 15 or 20 minutes. I like that it is on wheels. Even though it isn’t heavy it is kind of unwieldy, so the four castor wheels make it easy to move it around. The steamer is also height adjustable so you can use it in many different positions. The steam head rotates, as well. 5”The Steam head unit does not lock on to the pole. That means that if you aren’t careful you could accidentally lift the entire head off without meaning to while moving it. So just be aware of how you grab it.The facial steamer was super simple to put together and adding water to it was a breeze. The directions say that the first time you you operate the steamer you should use tap water and then after that distilled water. Which is good because I didn’t have any distilled water on hand. I added tap water to the fill line. Our water is filtered by a whole home filter and we have a softener so it is pretty clean. Maybe even a little too clean because after turning it on and letting it run for a while in a rolling boil there was no steam. I had also read in the instructions that if there is no steam to add a little salt so the steamer could can sense the electrolytes in the water. I turned the machine off and did that. Just a tiny pinch was all that was needed. I turned the unit back on and in a matter of moments the steam was pouring out. It was glorious. I sat with my face being engulfed by warm steam and deep breathing the moisture and the relaxing aroma. I had also put some lavender essential oil on a little cotton pad and stuck it in the little tube on the bottom of the steam head. It is right by the steam release area and the steam carries the scent straight in to your olfactory system. It was so relaxing. The only thing that kept me from falling asleep was my excitement to write this review. LOL This has got to be one of my favorite things I have ordered. Which is funny because I didn’t think I was going to keep it. Now I will never let it go.

Feels great once you figure out how to use it and adjust it
Assembly is quite easy. It took me less than 10 minutes. I read the instructions carefully as well as the additional sheet with the do’s and don’ts (I laughed at the “It is forbidden” about putting fragrance oils in the water chamber). Make sure you do not use distilled water, or if you do you must add salt. I just used plain tap water as salt water usually irritates my skin.The problem was getting this adjusted. The arm with the steamer moves horizontally but not vertically. You have to adjust the central tube to lower or raise the arm so that it is exactly the right distance from your face on the surface you plan to lay on or sit on while using this. The casters are very handy for moving this around, but raise the apparatus up fairly high. I cannot fit this under my couch or close enough under a chair. I have to place it next to the couch or chair, or use this in bed. The central tube also does not get low enough for me to place the steamer the recommended distance from my face. I guess my beds and couches in my home are lower than most.There were no instructions for how to operate this, or an explanation of the icons on the screen. I plugged it in and turned it on, then stepped away to wash my hands while I assumed the water heated. I thought it would heat, then you’d have to start the cycle. Nope, the timer starts as soon as you turn this on and once the water heats it will start steaming. I turned it off so that I could adjust it, and then it wouldn’t turn on again. A water icon kept flashing so I added more water (even though it was 2/3 full) and then it turned on.But WOW it was worth the frustration to adjust and figure out how to use because the actual steam felt wonderful. It feels good on my face but also provides relief to my very dry eyes. You may want to wear a shower cap if your hair is prone to frizzing when exposed to humidity, or if your hair is styled and getting slightly damp would damage the style. There isn’t a great way to collapse this for storage so you may have to find a corner or closet to keep it in for easy access to use whenever you like. You will likely need an extension cord as the cable isn’t very long.

I’ve been using this facial steamer for a while now & absolutely love it! It works beautifully both at home & at work, providing consistent steam & great results every time. The adjustable timer & rolling stand make it super convenient & professional quality. This is an incredible value & seems very durable so I won’t have to worry about replacing it any time soon!
