  1. Rich N.

Excellent Value- macro math, cost, taste, results (and a delicious shake recipe!)
Yes- the math is great- 30g of protein, 1g of sugar, 2g fat, 150 calories per serving (2 scoops). And yes, there are similar products with similar nutritional metrics, but I go for Premier Protein for several reasons:1. Cost. $.93/ounce is highly competitive, despite mainstream product overhead and really nice packaging. Premier Protein is significantly cheaper than Dymatize ISO100 at $1.55/ounce, Optimum Nutrition at $1.37/ounce, and many other similar brands that check some of the same boxes.2. Consistency. I have consumed in excess of 20 pounds over the past few years. Every tub has the same consistency, same quantity (irritatingly underfilled like ALL of these products), and tastes exactly the same (see 3.).3. Taste. The Chocolate Milkshake flavor is aaahhhhhhmazing! My shakes taste like regular chocolate shakes- rich, creamy, flavorful with NO chemical bite or off putting whey overtones. (My delicious macro-bomb recipe is below.)4. Fill-factor. After a 32 oz shake I feel full. Yes- Boyle’s law holds and pressure is directly correlated to volume. However, the full feeling lingers for many hours. I have NOT had the same prolonged satiation with other protein powder options.5. Results/Performance. I am not a nutritional expert, trainer, fitness model, body builder, or beach ego-manic. I’m a regular, middle-aged guy who is in pretty good shape and wants to stay that way. I refuse to lose tone, strength, and mass without a fight. So… after a recent back surgery and a desire to rebuild size and strength efficiently, I changed my daily workouts and my daily nutrition that now includes a midday shake- one per day, every day. I have experienced noticeable gains in muscle size and density as well as strength- particularly big muscle groups in shoulders, back, and legs (sorry- no pictures! 😉 ).My 470 calorie / 56g protein shake recipe:————————————————–Fill 32 ounce blender cup halfway with ice, then add:- 40g (2 scoops) of Premier Protein Chocolate Milkshake- 1 teaspoon of raw, unsweetened powdered cocoa- 3g of creatine monohydrate (if you add creatine, up your hydration- drink tons of water! Here’s a link for a good option: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CCCNKD73?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1)- 3g of marine collagen peptides (bovine collagen is arguably better with different macros if you can consume mammalian food products)- 1 large raw egg (appropriate cautions if you have concerns about raw foods)- 1 medium banana (optional, but I find it adds a tiny bit of sweetness and more creaminess)- 1/2 cup of skim milk (skip if dairy is an issue, but DO NOT substitute with nut/vegetable “milks.” Shake will still be creamy))- 2 tablespoons of vanilla Greek yogurt (as above, skip if dairy is an issue)- pinch of Celtic salt if you want to neutralize some of the sweetnessTop with cold water, blend and enjoy! Soooooooooo good.TIP: If you want some texture in your shake, try adding a tablespoon of bittersweet chocolate chips or cacao nibs before blending. Yes, it adds a few calories, but not enough to create a guilt-flog impulse!

I see reviews saying it doesn’t mix well.
That’s kinda the drawback of most protein powders I’ve tried. You can’t just put some in a glass of water or milk and stir it with a spoon and hope for the best.If you don’t already invest in some blender bottles or even just a good water bottle with a good lid. You will need to shake the heck out of it to mix it unless you are making smoothies with it.I’ve tried both the chocolate and the cafe latte. I’ve yet to do the vanilla because I normally don’t care for vanilla straight up. In fruit smoothies and stuff it works well but I don’t use it in smoothies enough to warrant buying a batch of it.Both are delicious but cafe latte is my favorite by far. I need to order my chocolate again though because the one draw back to the cafe latte is its caffeine content. Which in the morning is great but sometimes I like a shake before bed (like an hour or so before) and that’s no bueno to have caffeine like that that close to bed. But flavor wise it’s one of the best I’ve had. Simple an no over bearing flavor. I have a 28 oz blender bottle I fill like 3/4 up with unsweetened almond milk and then add two somewhat heaping scoops of the powder and shake it all up and it’s so delicious I always want another one afterwards lol. The chocolate is delicious as well but it’s nothing spectacular. It’s chocolate protein powder. I like it and if you like chocolate protein powder you’ll like it as well. But again. It’s nothing special but it is really really good.As for filling at least at my current state it’s not always the best. But that could just be me. I’m used to eating way more than I should. But I have found that it does help to maintain a fullness and not require near as much food to make it happen. I banana and one of these shakes and I’m great until the next meal. Or use it in a fruit smoothie with half a banana and it’s the same result. So if you’re already skinny and or adapt to eating smaller meals and portions I think it would do ya well. If your like me and just trying to drop weight and used to eating big meals grab a banana or another piece of fruit to go along with it. Especially if you’re headed for an active day.Protein powders are expensive. And even this on here is a bit expensive for what you get but it is one of the cheaper ones and it’s absolutely solid. I would recommend checking Sam’s Club or other bulk food stores if you have a membership. If they have it in stock you can get almost double the amount for about ten bucks more (much better deal!)People also talking about lids being hard. My chocolate one was nothing short of easy. The cafe latte one was on there good. I unscrewed it some and then popped it off (I’m not muscular at all. I’m using these shakes as meal replacements and after cardio recovery (I’m working on getting into shape again after many many years of not caring. After a 45 minute brisk walk my legs are screaming. A shower and a shake and I’m feeling like I could take on the world). Once I got the lid off and the paper covering off the lid works just fine. So keep in mind. Unscrew it as much as you can then pop it off.My Sam’s club has only been carrying the shakes not the powder (which I prefer as 1 you can do more with it and 2 out fridge is always full of other stuff so not having to make more room and just making the shakes as needed works better) so I just order here for now. That said barring some crazy recall or something I will stick with premier as it works well, the price is right, and the taste is perfectly fine (except the latte. That one is amazing)Sorry for the long review but I just wanted to clear a few things up from what I was seeing on these other reviews as well as give my input. Hope this helps!

NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD LOVE PROTEIN POWDER, BUT –
Whether it comes already mixed in a bottle or wax container or dry (like this), I am addicted to Premier Protein. Especially the chocolate. (Indulgence and Double Chocolate also satisfy my chocoholic cravings). The really good news for folks who remember what protein used to be like and early protein diets that required medical supervision and allowed you to eat only protein (rough) is that tastes delicious, mixes easily and contains essential vitamins. Before anyone goes on a total protein diet, medical approval is still critical. But this stuff is good. As good as a steak? I don’t know. Most beef is so expensive and layered with fats and antibiotics. True, you cannot make a burger with protein powder (at least not easily). But you can make a fabulous shake or pudding very easily. I love to blend shakes with bits of ice and fruit (bananas, blackberries, blueberries, razzies). I’ve even tossed in chunks of pineapple or an a few almonds. Leftover coffee from yesterday? Don’t waste it. Chill it and use it as liquid to blend your shake. Back when protein diets were torture imposed by expensive medical specialists, I never thought protein would taste like this!

30 grams of protein per serving.
The consistency is a bit lumpy and grainy. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE HOT WATER. Other protein powders we have added to our coffee. Not this, using hot water it cooks into a lumpy mess. Sadly it does not have such a warning in the instructions.Protein content is good and 30grams of protein is excellent. Follow directions on the mix ratio for best flavor.

I love this so much I have put it on subscription, I wasn’t expecting too much as most of these shakes all have a sort of health shop taste to them but this one is gorgeous, it actually tastes like chocolate. It mixes super well in my mixing bottle too and leaves no lumps which is a bonus. Protein content is really good too, you can tell as it definitely gives you more energy which is one thing I needed. I think it is great value for money, 1 of these tubs lasts me about 8 days as I am currently using it twice a day. 100% recommend this seller as like I said I have put it on repeat order it is that good.
