The Old Candle Barn in located in Intercouse PA, nestled in the heart of Amish Country. Local Craftsmen have been pouring and dipping candles the Old Fashioned way for over 40 years. The Old Candle Barn started out in John and Fannie Beiler’s basement during the late 1960’s. The Candle making business expanded so rapidly they had to move the operation three times before settling in Intercourse where the current building consists of approximately 28,000 Sq. Feet. Here at the Old Candle Barn we like to say “Blow out the lights and turn on the candles”.

Ferocious Cinnamon Smell
I needed a very strong cinnamon potpourri for my bathroom. What I received was this wonderful pine nuts filled with cinnamon that can clear out the worst of smells just by sitting in a shallow bowl. I love the strong scent of the non edible pine nuts. It’s a refreshing scent. But don’t touch with your hands or fingers because the scent doesn’t wear off that quickly. I also hang some inside a nylon knee high stocking and can pull on nylon to spread the scent over the toilet. The pine nuts rub together to send the scent into the air. It’s also great to use inside a sock or lingerie drawer. I’ll be ordering this scent again for the rest of my house. I love Cinnamon!

Nice rosehips, not well scented
These are great for making homemade potpourri. The cinnamon scent is pretty faint. I am going to use them to make homemade potpourri along with other things to make a pretty mix. For my purpose they will work beautifully.
