About Us

Journey Spice Co. is a family-owned small business that offers gourmet organic* spice and seasoning products using premium, responsibly sourced ingredients. Journey Spice Co. was launched in mid-2022 by married couple, Rosa and Andon.

*Certified USDA Organic by Oregon Tilth since 01/10/2022.

Since we work in marketing and design, we have often wished that many of our clients would choose packaging options that consider the environment. Having our daughter made us even more aware of the environmental crisis future generations face. One of the most exciting and meaningful aspects of creating Journey Spice Co. was that we could create our own packaging.

Beyond our paper-based packaging, we also consider the planet in other ways, such as our supply chain, which includes reducing, reusing, and recycling when possible. During our journey to develop our packaging, we learned that only about 50 percent of what you put in your recycling bin actually gets recycled*.

Single-use plastic containers like plastic spice jars are the worst offenders, with only about 9 percent* getting recycled. Therefore, we decided to extend our efforts even more by partnering with rePurpose Global to remove one pound of plastic waste from the environment with every purchase of a Journey Spice Co. product.
