Amazing devotional, highly recommend- very encouraging
God speaks to me through every page. I could not recommend this enough! Bought for 2 of my friends since getting one myself. It’s just the encouragement you need to get through a rough day. And it’s once a week instead of daily so you can just read it whenever you have a spare moment throughout the week.

    Beautiful, vulnerable and needed!
To start off, I am hopelessly biased since the author is none other than my amazing wife. So while I can’t say a mean word about her book if I tried, it also means I have had a front-row seat to witness how she has lived out her motherhood journey with honesty, transparency, and in ways that have been helpful for many other mothers in her life. And her ability to process her journey with such eloquence gives the rest of us a glimpse into what mothers go through, and helps us learn how best to come alongside to support and encourage. So let me step aside and allow Ellie to do the rest of the talking. This story below is a personal and beautiful entry straight out of the devotional and gives you an idea of the piercing power of Ellie’s writing:”The morning of my daughter’s birth started out slowly…very slowly. We’d been at the hospital since the previous afternoon, but my dilation had ground to a halt at seven centimeters. As I silently prayed that something would change, a look of slight panic washed across my nurse’s face. “The baby’s in distress,” she said, and before I could ask any questions, I was wheeled to the operating room for an emergency C-section.I felt robbed. I had spent nine months working hard to overcome my fear of childbirth, and I’d actually begun looking forward to pushing out this precious little one—but clearly that wouldn’t be happening.Like me, so many mothers have grieved unplanned challenges as they welcomed their babies into the world. Maybe you had to be unconscious when your baby was born, groggily meeting them for the first time hours later. Or perhaps fear gripped you as your birth took a quick, even life-threatening, turn and you still relive each painstaking moment. Or, worst of all, maybe you had to bring your baby home without the sibling(s) they grew beside in your womb.Any number of circumstances may leave us emotionally fragile and unable to fully enter into the joy of welcoming our babies—and that’s okay. God understands better than anyone that our experiences aren’t black-and-white, and He can handle even our most heart-wrenching questions.Ask God to take your hand and help you walk through those difficult feelings, not around them. Processing our pain gives our hearts permission to embrace the “both-and” of our experience. We can recognize that many things can be true at once. Grief can coexist with gratitude for the medical interventions that made our births possible. Loneliness can coexist with comfort from loved ones who showed up for us when others couldn’t. Praying, journaling, or talking to a trusted confidante can help us untangle these emotions, honor them as valid, and walk toward healing.”Beautiful, vulnerable and needed

  5. Aaron Smith

    Thoughtful and well written
I bought it through a friend’s rec and have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the devotionals and the range of topics covered. I’ve really enjoyed picking it up whenever I need a bit of boost to my day. I particularly appreciate the writer’s personal testimonies which are constructive and sincere, yet not overly sentimental.

  6. Addy Wesner

    Short devotional for moms
I love the book itself, just was expecting it to be longer. The book is only a 52 day devotional, it is advertised as a 52 week devotional.

  7. Samantha H.

    Perfect
This devotional is perfect for the overwhelmed new mom who wants to stay connected with God. I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Arrived quickly.
Exactly what I was looking for as a gift to my daughter.

  9. Katherine

Nothing wrong with the contents of the book but it wasn’t as advertised on the photos as it appeared to look like the inside was coloured. The pages are in fact black and white which kind of makes it look dull and boring considering the price point of this book I did expect for the pages to be coloured just as advertised. Sad to see this wasn’t the case.
